__ stand UP__

It's time to stand.
Stand up for yourself. Stand up and be counted. Stand up and sing. Stand for something. Stand up for the rights of others. Stand up and take notice. Stand up comedy. Stand up kind of guy. Stand up straight.

Stand up has a multitude of uses & meanings
that all have to do with not sitting back and letting the world pass you by. It describes a person who is active and engaged and who owns their responsibility to themselves and others. These kinds of people live by the saying: "be the change you wish to see in the world!"

On election day, we all had an important opportunity to be counted. Of course, we know that standing up for what we believe in continues to be important every day. Every time we interact with someone else in our professional or personal lives, our behavior stands for something - we just need to make sure that we're projecting an image we can be proud of! Sometimes that requires taking a stand for our morals & ethics in situations where it would be easier to stay silent.

We know it can be hard work and that's why this edition of eNews features advice and examples of how to do just that. As we close out 2016, we're celebrating all the "stand-up" people out there. We know we can all reach new heights if we stand UP together!

Tips from the Pro
It's time we start standing up for something in our lives. Yet, it's important that we stand together, not alone. We must never forget where we came from and where we are going. But to stand for something, we must believe - to believe in something, we must be taught or the world will teach our kids to believe in anything they want. Oh, it will also tell them there are no consequences for their actions; and that's a bunch of hogwash, you know as well as I do that you reap what you sow.

Our moral foundation [as a family and as a company] is based on biblical truths like the Ten Commandments; it's based on God's plan for our life, not my plan. We try to treat each person that we meet better than we treat ourselves, we are here to serve. God calls us to give our self away to the community He plants you in. Try blooming where He has planted you.

It all starts with just one.
Pray for just one.
Feed just one.
Clothe just one.
Listen to just one.
Love just one.
You get the picture.
Stand up and believe.

Paul

Stand up

to your obstacles
and do something
about them.
You will find that
they haven't
half the strength
you think they have.

Standing the test of time!

World-famous brands like Kohler and Frigidaire have been part of our homes for 100 years or longer, so it sometimes feels like they've always been the powerhouses they are today.

The truth is every success story has a humble beginning.  In the case of Kohler, starting off in 1873 in Wisconsin, a cast-iron horse trough that doubled as a bathtub became the seed that grew into the expansive home product line we now know and love.

It takes a true visionary to start off with nothing and still see a great future ahead. America has had its fair share of such innovators - in fact, that's exactly what the Founding Fathers did in 1776!

To truly make a difference, you need more than a vision though. You also need commitment to stick it out through the hard times, like Frigidaire which made it through two World Wars in order to become a defining feature of Ame rica's post-war success story.

Then once you've made it, it takes dedication to quality and responsibility in order to stay on top of the heap. A company that takes shortcuts and doesn't care about its reput ation may rise quickly, but it won't last long.

All Pro Builders has all these qualities of a great American success story. All Pro Builders has never quit.

Humble beginnings? Check! Paul Paniagua started off as a one-man business in 1989, just a newly licensed contractor and his truck & tools.

Big dreams? Check! Paul was out there pounding the pavement every day in the beginning and soon started to expand his new company by inviting his father and eventually his nephews, Chris and Mike, to join up.

Hard times? You bet. None of us will soon forget the Great Recession (or as Paul refers to it: the Great Depression), when contractors were going out of business in droves. All Pro managed to adapt though, and only by the grace of God, made it through the other side stronger than ever.

A bright future? No doubt! As we continue to grow and innovate, we never forget the basics: honesty & integrity. These core tenets of our business have kept us afloat when so many others sank, and are now helping us move onward and upward. [Proverbs 2:7]

Our glowing customer reviews are a mix of clients who've only known us as one of the top contractors in Southern California and those returning clients (now friends!) who have been with us since the beginning.

All Pro is very proud of our 27 years in business so far and, with the vision and dedication to God, family and service that we've always had -- we know our story is just beginning!

In the Community

Stand up for a good cause:

The holiday season is meant to be about peace & love - but sometimes shopping malls can seem like war zones! We all want to find the perfect gift to let our loves ones know we care, but it's hard sometimes to make ethical buying choices with all the hectic store-to-store trips.

If that sounds familiar, then we've got the perfect gift for you! [Sorry it's a week late.] We've recently discovered this list of companies*** that are doing just what we are talking about: standing up for a good cause. These companies provide safe and fair working conditions for their employees. They are doing their part to help others in impoverished countries to be a part of bettering themselves, while at the same time being a vital part of community and commerce in the world.

So, yes, Christmas has passed, but we can use this list all year long for the many other gift-giving occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, wedding showers...we are almost never without a reason to buy a gift.

***Special thanks to Melanie Dale
@ unexpected.org for compiling and sharing this list with the world!

Until Next Time

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God's mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God's ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.
