Christmas Chocolate Milk Mile
December 23rd

The foundation of any true chocolate milk mile is built upon two things: the love for chocolate milk and running a mile. The format of the chocolate milk mile requires a single participant to drink a 12-ounce cup of chocolate milk, run a quarter mile, then repeat the process three times.

This results in the consumption of 48 ounces of chocolate milk and the running of four quarter miles (hence the chocolate milk mile). The entire process is timed. The total time is often used as a measuring stick of competency. There will be awards for the swiftest chocolate milk lovers
.

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR COUNSELING OFFICE
Class of 2017

We in the Counseling Office would like to wish everyone a safe and blessed Christmas. We are excited to be able to let all of you know of the wonderful year
the senior class is having. We currently have received acceptances to four-year universities for 165 or our 190 (87%) seniors and the first semester is not quite over yet. Our students have garnered 417 acceptances to 67 schools in 19 states.

Some of the acceptances include many here in Texas such as Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, Baylor, Texas, TCU, St. Mary's, and Incarnate Word University. We also have students accepted to prestigious schools such as M.I.T., the United States Air Force Academy, Belmont University, St. John's University and Creighton among others.

On the financial side we are equally proud of the accomplishments of this year's senior class. The real scholarship season is after the Christmas break, despite that, our students have received, and turned in to our office, scholarship offers totaling more than $11.5 million dollars already. 114 of our 190 students have turned in scholarship offers; that is 60% of the senior class.

These are all outstanding numbers that we are very excited about. Senior parents can be proud of the accomplishments of this wonderful class. As always, we ask that you continue to have your students turn in acceptances and scholarship offers to our office, regardless if they plan to attend that chosen university. We want to be sure we continue to document the outstanding achievements of this Class of 2017.

IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE AN APACHE
CONGRATULATIONS STEVEN CRANE

The Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation administers the Valero Alamo Bowl
Scholar-Athlete Program for seniors from San Antonio area public schools and
long-established private schools to honor their success both in and out of the classroom.

In addition to a one-time, non-renewable scholarship, recipients are annually invited with their parents to attend an awards luncheon courtesy of H-E-B. Steven Crane was one of the recipients of this scholarship and will be recognized on the field courtesy of Frost and the Valero Alamo Bowl. This year's game is scheduled to take place on  December 29th. Congratulations Steven Crane you have made us proud!
THANK YOU ACP FAMILY

In this special season of love and thanksgiving, we are often given moments to reflect on the many blessings that are bestowed upon us. We thank all of our students, faculty, staff, and families who help and gave to those in need.

It is your love, dedication, and example that continues to make Antonian the special and unique school that it is.

May your season be filled with the love and peace that only Jesus can provide.
