NW Consumers Demand Ductless in 2016
2016 marks another strong year for increases in the regional ductless market. With data showing 10,524 total sales, Q3 sales were 14% higher than Q3 2015 and we anticipate continued growth in Q4. Together we've achieved 153,319 sales and installations in the region since 2008.Thanks to the introduction of new, more efficient ductless models and new manufacturers entering the market, we anticipate growth to continue in 2017.

To help continue this growth, we recommend contacting your local utilities to stay up to date with current rebates. Numerous utilities have recently changed rebate amounts and more are scheduled to change in Q1 2017.

Market partner participation and support are key drivers in achieving the exceptional regional growth of ductless systems. On behalf of the NW Ductless Heat Pump Project team, thank you for all your work and leadership accelerating adoption of ductless heating and cooling systems. We look forward to continuing this upward momentum in 2017.
Contact the Project for 2017 Installer Training Support
With support from the Project, we anticipate an increase in manufacturer and distributor installer training events in 2017 . The Project attends these events to provide information on the ductless opportunity throughout the Northwest, including tips on how to work with utility programs to grow your business. Please contact us if you would like to have a representative from The Project support your manufacturer or distributor training efforts.

In addition to product training events, orientation webinars are a good opportunity to educate new employees about the technology, help you and your employees communicate the benefits of ductless heat pump technology to your customers and achieve successful ductless system installations. Quality installations result in reduced call backs, more customer referrals and increased awareness of ductless technology. We encourage all of your company's installers to attend.  Register for an upcoming webinar here .
Ensure Correct Equipment Installation for Proper System Life
Double check indoor and outdoor units on job sites to ensure you're installing the right equipment. Mismatched indoor and outdoor units may still run, but risk creating homeowner comfort issues by delivering the incorrect capacity. In addition, incompatible systems may reduce the system's longevity and efficiency. Most manufacturers provide compatibility charts to reference, and some units may display error codes in the event of a mismatched system. For jobs with multiple indoor units, make sure all of the indoor units are compatible with each other in addition to the outdoor unit. Check the work order before you leave the warehouse, keep a compatibility chart in your service trucks or utilize manufacturer apps to identify the right equipment and refer to them before you install to ensure you have the right indoor and outdoor units.
Keep Company Information Current on the Installer Finder
To be listed on the Installer Finder on  GoingDuctless.com , we require at least one current company representative to have completed our installer orientation and comply with  eligibility requirements . If company contact information changed recently--such as your phone number, email address, or physical address--your company information on the Installer Finder may be out of date. Please contact the Project if your information has changed to ensure consumers can contact you if they are interested in installing a ductless heat pump.
Take Advantage of Customer Testimonial Videos
Word of mouth and peer reviews are proven tools that influence a homeowner's decision to purchase a ductless system. The NW Ductless Heat Pump Project produced three testimonial videos featuring ductless heat pump customers expressing satisfaction with their systems and the installation experience. You can link to or include these videos to promote ductless systems from your own website, social media platforms or digital communications and advertising to increase customer confidence.
