Kohler donates new emergency generator
Kohler Co. has donated a new emergency generator to Mead Public Library.  The generator, which will be installed in early 2017, will provide an emergency power backup that's essential to providing a safe and comfortable environment to the library's 300,000 annual visitors.  The system replaces aging equipment dating back to 1974 when the library opened at its current location downtown.
Mead Annual Cribbage Tournament
Mead Public Library's third annual Cribbage Tournament will be held beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21. The popular two-handed cribbage tournament features a round-robin format (about 9 games) and includes prizes for the top-two finishers. Deadline to register is Jan. 20. Call 459-3400, ext. 3422.
Mead now part of Monarch Library System
