is the date for the annual Community Awards here in Qualicum Beach. Between 150 and 200 members of the business and Qualicum Beach communities will gather to celebrate our collective best from over the past year.
Limited opportunities are available to local businesses who would like to reach out to this audience by sponsoring a dining table. For just $100 this sponsorship provides a bottle of red and bottle of white wine for the 10 diners seated at your table, as well as the exclusive opportunity to put your promotional material and/or goodies out.

Knox United Church in
Parksville is presenting a Special Celebration to raise funds for our local Refugee Family as we
celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday.
This event will be held at Knox United Church, 345 Pym St, Parksville, on
Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The
Tickets are $15 each and are on sale at the church office.
In a coffeehouse style setting, this fun-filled, community-oriented celebration will be hosted by the Knox United Church Choir, under the direction of Jenny Vincent.
It promises to be an afternoon of delicious Canadian-style desserts and beverages as we enjoy: musical performances - dancers, - dramatic skits - poems, and a wonderful sing-a-long of Canadian folk songs, written by some of our greatest Canadian songwriters.
One of the highlights of the concert will be a "Lively" Auction of fun and nonsensical items up for bids!

Please Note: All proceeds of this celebration will go to assist our local refugee family with their transportation, medical and settling expenses for their first year.

This course is designed to teach youth about injury prevention. Home hazards, safety education, CPR, automated external defibrillation and first aid skills for common emergencies are all covered. FOODSAFE Level 1 is a food handling, sanitation and work safety course designed for front line food service workers such as cooks, servers, bussers, dishwashers, and deli workers.
