This coming Sunday, January 15 will be Amy Smith’s first Sunday as the new Director of Children's Ministry and Families at St. Philip’s!  Help us welcome her!  We would like to invite the families of St. Philip's to coffee, hot chocolate and doughnut holes at 9:00 a.m. in the Sunday School hall of the Parish House.  Please come by and say hello!

Final Pill Packing Party this Sunday!
In preparation for the Medical Mission Trip to Honduras, tables will be set up in the Parish Hall on Sunday, January 15 for our final “Pill Packing Party.” Come when you can, and stay as long as you like! A light lunch will be served at noon.

In preparation for our Parish Annual Meeting which will be held on  March 5, we are now accepting nominations for our next Vestry class.

Please take a moment to read  this letter from our current Senior Warden, Jim Stelling, to learn how this year's nomination process will work.

If you would like to nominate someone for our Vestry, submit their name to either  Jim Stelling  or  Rachel Murphy ,  by Friday, January 20.

Meditative Prayer Class
Pringle Franklin is leading a weekly class on Meditative Prayer at 9:15 a.m. in the Chapel.

This class will begin with relaxation exercises, music and/or scriptural readings, and then will flow into a gently guided session in which you practice sitting in silence. This will be a way to tune your inner ear toward your Heavenly Father. You may use this space to pray silently, but most of the time you will be learning to calm down and listen, and to rest in the Lord's nearness. You will develop skills to enable you to practice this at home, when you are traveling, when you are anywhere in the world.

CONCERT ~ The Treble Choristers of the Saint Thomas Choir of Men & Boys

The Cathedral Church of St. Luke & St. Paul is pleased to host the Treble Choristers of the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys in a Recruitment Tour concert, rescheduled due to Hurricane Matthew. This event is sponsored by Porter-Gaud School, the Cathedral Church of St. Luke & St. Paul, and Hazel & Murray Somerville.

Tea Room - Save the Date!
April 3 - 7, 2017
11:30 a.m - 2:00 p.m. daily

The St. Philip's Tea Room is a Spring favorite in Charleston. It has been a tradition at St. Philip's for many years. The menu includes "Lowcountry Lunch and Delicious Desserts" - homemade soup, salads, sandwiches, and a daily variety of desserts. The Tea Room is staffed completely by volunteers. It takes many hands to make a successful Tea Room each year, so please be on the lookout for volunteer forms coming soon!

St. Philip's Archives is Seeking a Display Case
St. Philip’s Archives is in search of an attractive mahogany and glass display case to be used for the display of several architectural artifacts from our church.

Please contact Tricia Moore if you know of anything that might be suitable for this purpose.
