Saturday, December 2: Home for the Holidays

Home for the Holidays is Swarthmore's annual holiday tradition featuring horse-drawn carriage rides, The Nutcracker Ballet, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, a visit from Santa Claus, dreidel games, a West African dance circle with Jeannine Osayande and Dunya Performing Arts Company, hot cocoa and mulled wine, carols led by the Swarthmore Ukulele Orchestra, and so much more!  Home for the Holidays takes place this Saturday, December 2. Download an online version of the schedule and start planning a festive day of family fun!

This year will also feature the inaugural Santa 5K Run/Walk through the streets of Swarthmore on the morning of December 2. Come dressed as Jolly Old St. Nick, his reindeer, Frosty the Snowman - use your imagination! The first 125 pre-registered runners will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt to commemorate their participation. And the fastest male and female runner, along with the two best-dressed participants, will be awarded at $25 Swarthmore Town Center gift certificate and a growler of beer from Wrong Crowd Brewing (must be 21+).  Learn more about the Santa 5K by visiting this link from the Bryn Mawr Running Company.
