A 5-Day Transformative Yoga Intensive
with Marya Bradley
January 23 -27th, 2017
5:15-7:30am
In the depth of Winter, even as Earth tilts each day a little more deeply out of night's shadow into the Sun's light, the vital force of living things concentrates or seals up in answer to Earth's winter trance. And though we cannot see into the quiet working of this force in its retreat, we know it is not death we witness, but a veiled moment in a process of transformation, which the cosmic turnings of light and shadow evoke.
You are invited to participate in a 5-day yoga intensive that is both inspired by and directly engages this mystery of a transformational balancing of the polarities of light and dark.
The practice derives from the kundalini tantra and hatha traditions, which recognize this cosmic mystery as that also of our own being. We inherit from these traditions many pathways and techniques by which to realize this insight and consciously participate in the process of our own transformation. We will engage various of these pathways and techniques, including among others the practice of asana, breathing, sound/chant, movement and meditation over the course of the intensive.
These practices are ever a gift to us and useful for our own and a broader healing and liberation from confusion and the suffering confusion causes. We stand now, however, at a time when the need for clarity of vision and strength of heart and spirit is particularly acute, so we may enter our practice in this intensive with a recognition of the timeliness of our intention and dedication.
All students of yoga are welcome. Please contact Marya directly with any questions you may have regarding the practice: [email protected].
Preregistration is required for the course. Deadli
ne for registration is January 21st.
Cost: $130.00
