 I Feel Worried: Helping Your Child Manage Anxiety 

Nadine  Briggs, Director of Simply Social Kids, will present this  workshop for parents which w ill describe how the brain reacts when it feels threatened and how to shift that thinking to a more productive reaction. Parents will learn what contributes to child anxiety with ideas on how they can help their children practice management strategies. The seminar includes an extensive list of ideas for families to use to prevent worries and adopt a more positive outlook. This seminar is based on the workbook, I Feel Worried: Tips for Kids on Overcoming Anxiety coauthored by Nadine Briggs and Donna Shea managing partners of How to Make and Keep Friends, LLC.

N adine Briggs, Director of Simply Social Kids, is an accomplished social educator. Nadine ha s expertise and certifications in bullying and cyberbullying prevention and sibling rela tion ships (Sibshops). She is trained in social thinking methods, uses collaborative problem solving to teach children conflict resolution and has been trained by the Child Anxiety Network at Boston University. She has dual graduate certifications in Coaching Children & Teens and Coaching Children & Teens with ADHD and is certified in the Girl Meets World curriculum.  She is also managing partner of How to Make and Keep Friends, LLC, a social education and publishing company.   She co-authored How to Make & Keep Friends: Tips for Kids to Overcome 50 Common Social Challenges and How to Make & Keep Friends: Helping Your Child Achieve Social Success,  I Feel Mad! Tips for Kids on Managing Angry Feelings and I Feel Worried! Tips for Kids on Overcoming Anxiety.  She frequently blogs about friendship topics on www.HowToMakeandKeepFriends.com.

Nadine's oldest child has Down syndrome which drives her personal passion for helping kids find true friendships.  She facilitates social skills groups, Sibshops, bullying prevention programs, and and offers specialty clubs that focus on coping with anxiety, mindfulness, self-esteem and self confidence. 

Nadine is a frequent public speaker at parent groups, conferences and educator professional development.
