Dear Temple B'nai Chaim Family,
After reading an
account of the recent violence and protests
written by the President of the Reform synagogue in Charlottesville, Congregation Beth Israel, I felt strongly that TBC should reach out in friendship and support. A copy of my letter to Congregation Beth Israel can be found by clicking on the link below.
In the past week, I have also affirmed our relationships within the local interfaith community.
I urge you to join me at 7pm on Wednesday evening as representatives from many local congregations come together for an event called "
Standing Together, Standing Strong: An Interfaith Gathering."
The program is open to everyone and will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Church (229 Danbury Road, Wilton). I hope that you will bring your friends and family.
"Standing Together, Standing Strong: An Interfaith Gathering" will be a meaningful opportunity for our local community to recommit ourselves to standing up for one another and for what is right.
Shavua Tov
. May we have a week filled with peace and goodness.
B'vracha,
Rabbi Rachel Bearman
