This Sunday August 20
"
Weniger Aber Besser
"
(Less, But Better)
Summer is just about over and for many, school's around the corner. Community programs are gearing up for the busy fall season, and most of us are balancing excitement and anxiety. So, here are the questions -
•
H
ow do we make the most of the fall, winter & spring
before us?
• How do we live the "abundant life" New Testament authors write of, and what really is the abundant life?
This Sunday, I offer a message for everyone about to "jump back in." It will bring together the ideas of
thought leaders ranging
from
Peter Drucker
to
Jesus
to
Essentialism
author Greg McKeown
. Design guru
H.C. Dieter Ram's
famous phrase
"weniger aber besser"
- translated as "less, but better" - with a hint of irony will help us move toward the abundance that is a central theme of life in the Spirit. - TD
P.S. -
here's a quote from my message, via legendary management & leadership wizard Drucker:
"in a few hundred years when the history of our time will be written from a long-term perspective - it is likely the most important event historians will see is not technology, not the Internet, not e-commerce. It is an unprecedented change in the human condition. For the first time – literally – substantial and rapidly growing numbers of people have choices. For the first time, they will have to manage themselves.
And society is totally unprepared for it."
