9 am - 1pm - Resident Rights - Presenters will discuss the Adult Residential Facility Resident Rights by the State Department of Social Services. Just as we all are guaranteed certain freedom and rights under federal and state laws, residents in residential care facilities for the elderly are guaranteed additional rights because of physical or cognitive limitation.

1:30 pm - 3:30 pm - Creating a Community Prepared to Serve LGBT Older Adults - This course will focus on learning how to provide quality care to this group of individuals, focusing on creating a diverse, openly welcome, and empathic residential care community.
