Principal's Pen
We have had an amazing first few days of school! Your kids have been engaged and excited about learning and interacting with their friends! Thank you for all your support and encouragement!

Please remember that we are unable to supervise your children before 8:00 am in the mornings. We can not have unsupervised students in the building. If your child is dropped off before 8:00 am, we will direct them to Base Camp for Before-School Care.

We have solar eclipse glasses for our Day School and will have various activities planned for Monday, which will include observation of the eclipse. If you do not want your child participating in the viewing of the eclipse, please email me at [email protected] before Monday morning.

Thank you for a great beginning to the school year!! The teachers and students have enjoyed the positive and upbeat first few days!

Serving Him,
Lisa Jennings

PTL News

First Meeting of the year will be Monday, August 28, 3:45-5:00 pm, in the office conference room. Childcare is provided free of charge. We would love to have you join us. This is also a great way to earn volunteer hours.

Shepherd's Closet  Our uniform resale shop is off to a great start. You can continue to drop off items in the box outside of the office throughout the school year. If you would like to sell your items back you may do so. Sellers will receive 70% of sales and PTL will receive 30%. Please include your name and contact info (email and phone number) on a piece of paper and attach to your bag of clothing.  We will open the closet once a month or by appointment. Please watch for email updates about this.

Due to various factors, we will no longer have our annual consignment sale. Thank you for your support over these many years.

Room Parents: We need room moms or dads for this year. Room parents are mainly responsible for helping to organize the class parties (only 3) that we have during the year along with helping the class celebrate your teacher's birthday. If you like to throw parties this would be a great way to earn volunteer hours. Please contact our Room Parent Coordinator Michele Schulteis, [email protected]

It's easy to help our school earn $250 to $2500. Just shop and log receipts from any of The Streets at SouthGlenn stores and restaurants between August 15, 2017 and April 30, 2018. Our school earns five points per dollar spent, with many additional bonus points opportunities. Receipts can be logged at the Retail/Residential Management Office or dropped in the collection box in the Concierge Lobby if you do not need them returned. Remember to tell your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to log their receipts. Anyone can support your school in the Street Smarts program. Questions? Gift Card Fundraising Program
Scrip is a gift card fundraising program that helps generate money for the school. This program helps keep the school tuition from increasing. Below are just some vendors available to purchase on the spot.

QUESTION:  My eight-year-old has been reluctant to say his prayers with me at night.  I could tell his heart wasn't really into it.  When I pressed him, he said that he didn't want to pray because God didn't answer his prayers.  We had been praying for his dog to get better, but we had to put it down last month.  Help!

ANSWER:  What a heartache!  Prepare for a long haul.  This will be a journey for both of you.  Telling him...
