This year we're hosting a Fun Run fundraiser for elementary and middle school students! It's a 9-day program that kicks off on August 23rd. We will be hosting a traditional jog-a-thon for elementary students and a color run for middle school students.

After the kick-off assembly, families will gather pledges for every lap your student runs (30-35 laps), and we'll celebrate at the Fun Run on September 1st. With our big goal of raising $20,000 to upgrade the media center, we asked the Fun Run experts at Boosterthon to power our Fun Run.

Elementary students will also experience an amazing character theme, CASTLE QUEST, which is connected to scripture.  Castle Quest is an English castle theme all about being brave and living with character. On their quest to regain Bravemore Castle, students will learn the "SIX VIRTUES of a TRUE HERO" from a cast of colorful characters.

So please help our school by reaching out to sponsors. Also, all families are invited to come out and cheer on your student at the Fun Run! More information will be coming home soon. Thank you for your support!
Gate Closing Times
Please note that both road and sidewalk gates will begin locking at 7:45am with the start of middle and high school classes.

This change means after 7:45am, all traffic will flow through the Bahia Vista Street entrance and will not be able to loop through the rear of campus.

Thank you for understanding that student safety is top priority for us.
Grading Update from Principals
Thank you for all you have being doing to help your students prepare for the first days of school.  To keep you informed on the work we are doing here at SCS, we are providing our first update on our grading guidelines.  In this update we address questions you may have about the practice of offering retakes on assessments.  We hope this is helpful and we will continue to provide updates to you.
Calendars Available
The 2017-18 SCS important dates calendar, distributed at Back-to-School Night, is also available in the main building brochure rack or you can download a copy.

Lunch Ordering Now Online
The web-based lunch ordering system is up and running, and we're happy to see that many parents have already made use of the new system during the first week of school. We've certainly appreciated your patience as we've worked out a few problems with regard to the payment processing.

Please note that beginning Monday, August 22, cash and checks will no longer be accepted in the lunch line, but students may still bring them to the front office or business office for deposit to their lunch accounts.

You can find additional details regarding ordering lunches and putting deposits in students' lunch accounts by following this link.

If you have a middle or high school student with a lunch account, you may review the activity in the account by going to Family Information > Family Billing in Parents Web from a web browser and clicking on "Details." Unfortunately only the current balance, and no detail, can be seen from the RenWeb app.
