In addition to her work as director of the Arts and Humanities Program at Georgetown Lombardi, Julia Langley recently became an  instructor at the School of Medicine department of oncology in the medical education track.



VA Secretary Speaks at Innovation Event Co-hosted by NHS
Innovation should focus on solving problems, said David Shulkin, MD, secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs, at the second annual VA Innovation Demo Day in Lohrfink Auditorium.





The inductees will "... join the ranks of the nation's foremost health care thought leaders," according to the academy's president.

 



All full-time Georgetown undergraduate and graduate students, across all schools, are eligible to apply for the Georgetown Global Health Initiative student fellows program. Applications are due by midnight on Thursday, August 24. 

The Georgetown Gender+ Justice Initiative is seeking presentation proposals for its second annual Fall Colloquium on Gender Justice Research on October 13.  Submit a brief abstract (250 words or less) of your paper or presentation by September 1. 


Applications  to participate in  Biomedical Big Data Resources and Analysis Tools , a hands-on workshop  November 3-4  at GUMC, are due  Wednesday, September 6 at 5:00 p.m. EST

Global health is a growing and diverse field that merges scientific inquiry with population health studies in order to achieve significant social impacts. At Georgetown, the interdisciplinarity of this emerging field is illustrated by the College's biology of global health (BGH) major.

 



The  Instructional Technology Design & Development  division of Dahlgren Memorial Library will hold two workshops on using Canvas and Adobe Captivate to create online content for flipped classrooms and team-based learning.
