We mourn the loss of Washington's iconic "fashionista" who was the quintessential sartorial guide to both men and women of our city and region for so many years. Priminently situated in the tony Dupont Circle neighborhood and near Embassy Row, Rosemary Reed Miller's "Toast and Strawberries" was the gathering place for intelligent discussion, networking across the ethno-cultural spectrum, and downright fun.
Rosemary was a great fan of Millennium Arts Salon and promoted us as an organization in many important ways. She was involved in many social justice-making causes identifying her, throughout her life in Washington, as one of the more progressive and clarion voices in our city. In all of her relationships, she sought the best of you and for you. For these, and for so many other reasons, we will all miss her dearly.
In just one aspect of her fabled life, let's listen to her voice as National Public Radio interviews her for their
"Wisdom Watch" series as she discusses her fabulous book, "Threads of Time -- The Fabric of History" .
Rosemary, you were a blessing to all of us.
Thank you.
