Holiday Campaign

A special thanks to those who have contributed to our annual holiday fundraising campaign. Due to your generous contribution, we have reached more than half our goal since December 2016!

Every year, during this time, we depend on you for contributions to help us continue providing crisis intervention, stable housing, and supportive services to families who are homeless and victims of domestic violence.

Help us reach our goal of $10,000 by donating today.

Thank you again for your support of Shelter House, where together we are Changing Lives!

The Changing Lives Annual Benefit  Breakfast is the premier event that brings businesses and individuals in the community together to raise awareness about family homelessness and domestic violence. If you are hoping to interact with some of the most prominent and influential companies and individuals in Northern Virginia, while at the same time supporting a charitable cause, please click below to register today!

Proceeds from the event help support the programs and people served by Shelter House - a community-based, non-profit organization that has been providing crisis intervention, safe housing, and supportive services to homeless families and victims of domestic violence for over 35 years.

Holiday Highlights

Thank you to the many wonderful organizations and individuals who collectively donated items and their time to make the holidays special for all of our families in need. We have received such amazing generosity and volunteerism from the American Association of University Women, Fox Mill Elementary School, Stearns Lending, Capital One, Roselle Center for Healing, Acumen Solutions, AECOM, Womeande, George Mason Mortgage, and Chantilly High School.

Here are just a few examples of the generosity shown to us from the community:

Fox Mill Elementary classes collected full-sized toiletries and hygiene products for Artemis House.

AECOM volunteers, along with Santa visit Katherine Hanley Family Shelter to celebrate the holidays with food, music, and face painting!

Thank you so much to Washington Womenade. Their collective donations exceeded $1500! We are so grateful for their continued support.

George Mason Mortgage delivered gifts and necessary shelter supplies for the clients at Artemis House, including a $500 gift card given to a mother in desperate need of car repairs.
