Czechaholics in New Braunfels, Dujka Brothers in Schulenburg, and Lotsa Country - all in the A/C! Yay!
Take your sweetie polka dancing Saturday night in New Braunfels at Eagles Hall. The Good Time Polka & Waltz Club invites everyone to come enjoy the music of the Czechaholics. Spend Sunday afternoon dancing to some more polka to the Dujka Brothers at the KC Hall in Schulenburg. Swiss Alp Dance Club says all are welcome. Sunday evening, Alice Sulak says come by Sefcik Hall in Seaton to hear Jerry Haisler & The Melody 5.

And the country! Lord of mercy! Glen Collins & The Alibis are in Seguin on Friday night. On Saturday, Jeff Woolsey in Dripping Springs, Bobby Flores in Fort Worth, Billy Mata in Granbury, and Charles & The Fabulous 4 in Wallis. On Sunday, Glen Collins band is in Geronimo, Texas Roadrunners in Houston, and Charles & The Fabulous 4 in Sweet Home. 

Lodge 88 has big band Saturday night with the Gary Dossett Orchestra, plus lots of great places to just go and listen to some good music - Matt Tolentino & Das Ist Lustig in Dallas, Enzian Buam in Pearland, Kenny James in Webster, and Terry Cavanagh in San Antonio with his Alpine Express Duo.

And everybody scream! Brave Combo is sharing a stage with the Los TexManiacs, and the Gulf Coast Playboys in Austin on Saturday night. 

Great weekend to move from your air-conditioned house to your air-conditioned car, to the air-conditioned dance hall! Polka On!

Special Praha Dedication
The Knights of Columbus wore their finery to celebrate the dedication of a historical marker at St. Mary's in Praha. That's two weekends in a row the state has blessed polka communities with markers - last week in Moulton to salute Adolph Hofner, and this week in Praha to recognize the Mother Parish. WEEKLY LAUGH
An elderly couple were at home watching TV. Phil had the remote and was switching back and forth between a fishing channel and the porn channel. Sally became more and more annoyed and finally said, "For gosh sake, Phil, leave it on the porn channel. Y ou know how to fish!"
