The National Institute of Health recently awarded The New England Consortium - Civil Service Employee Association (TNEC-CSEA)  special supplemental funding for this past project year (August 1, 2016 - July 31,2017). 

 

  As part of his senior year, Dave Deluca engaged in a health education practicum with TNEC-CSEA prior to graduating his degree in Public Health.  Working with his preceptor, Bridget McGuiness, TNEC Educator, he developed a presentation module and delivered it as part of a 40-hour HAZWOPER training session.  Dave researched the proper use of respirator and other means of protecting workers from unhealthy air exposures while on the job.  He also assisted in developing a series of scenarios that which trainers incorporated into TNEC-CSEA's disaster preparedness courses.   

NH COSH members and friends meet with NH-01 Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter on August 2, 2017, a tireless advocate for strong workplace protections and on the right side of issues we care about.   Congresswoman Shea-Porter asked those in attendance how we can help to amplify her strong voice in support of working men and women. NH COSH board members Sam Wooten and Al Bouchard told Carol their stories as a family member of a public employee killed at work and a survivor of chemical contamination on the job to which Carol told them "keep telling your stories, people need to hear them and I'll take them to Washington".
