PCC and partners meet with SCDOT
The PCC recently met with SCDOT to begin a long term campaign for more Multi Modal planning on South Carolina's state owned roads - whether we travel by bike, on foot, in a car, or a bus.
We have a broad list of partners moving this policy initiative forward, and we currently seek more local organizations and Mayors to sign on to our campaign letter for this state policy effort.

Local Event Highlights
Charleston: Legare Bridge at County Council
Join Charleston Moves,
TONIGHT @5pm, in North Charleston, in support of efforts to secure safe access across the Legare Bridge, a
project 15 years in the making. Charleston County staff and Council don't support the
lane conversion, so show support to Charleston Moves' effort to have the County turn the project entirely over to the City of Charleston. Even more important than speaking, is that supporters of the bike and pedestrian lane - are present and filling the room. They'll be stationed outside chambers with stickers; be sure to snag yours as you walk in! @5pm in Charleston County Council's chambers (4045 Bridge View Drive)
Pedal Hilton Head Island!
Experience Hilton Head Island by bike like never before! The 62 mile metric-century and 40 mile rides will take you over the Island's bridges and waterways, out to Pinckney Island Wildlife Refuge and beyond. Take the Pedal for a Kid Challenge and get their signature cycling jersey. Event benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island.
