Now Serving Holcroft Park Homes
A few weeks ago we reached out to the YMCA of the North Shore and asked if they'd like to collaborate with us in an effort to get healthy food to even more Beverly residents. We determined that The Holcroft Park Homes in Gloucester Crossing, managed by the YMCA and serving over 150 low and very low income individuals, could benefit greatly from access to our Mobile Market.
We are now visiting the location with our free fresh traveling farmers market every other Thursday to ensure the residents have access to healthy and nutritious fruits and vegetables.

Exciting News:
This is Allegra Egizi. She is a student at Simmons College studying to be a Nutritionist and she has been doing tastings in our lobby once a week this summer. She makes samples using items we have in the Food Pantry and also hands out the recipes, with nutritional information noted, that she used to make them. Clients have enjoyed these tastings and seeing how easy it is to use this healthy produce and we have been happy to continue to educate our clients on the importance of healthy eating.

How you can help:
As the summer winds down, we always need help restocking the shelves of our Food Pantry. Please consider holding a Food Drive. Depending on what timing works for you, you could even help us collect food for our Thanksgiving meal program where we give out all the fixins for our clients to be able to make their own holiday dinner. Harvesting for the Food Pantry
We recently joined the Greater Beverly YMCA and Green City Growers to harvest the veggies from the school gardens at the Beverly elementary schools which were then donated to the Food Pantry. Thank you for this amazingly fresh produce!

Music to Munch to
Saturday, August 19, starting at noon
Vidalias, 9 West Street, Beverly Farms, MA
Ashley, a local student, has created a unique fundraiser: she will be playing her ukelele and singing outside of
Vidalias this Saturday. Take a listen and toss some money in her hat - all proceeds will be donated to Beverly Bootstraps.
Market Basket Food Drive
Saturday, September 9, from 9am to 1pm
Stop by to do your shopping and pick up an extra item or two to drop in the collection bins on the way out to help us restock our Food Pantry shelves.
The Greater Beverly Photo Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, September 30, from 2:30 to 5pm
The Castle: A Board Game Cafe, 240 Rantoul Street, Beverly, MA
Put together a team of 4-6 and join this
photo scavenger hunt. Starting and ending at The Castle, teams will walk and snap photos all throughout downtown Beverly. There is a $50 registration cost per team and all proceeds benefit Beverly Bootstraps.
Coats and Cash for a Cause
Saturday, September 30, from 9am to 2pm
Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, MA
Bring a coat or a cash donation to Campbells Funeral Home and enjoy some cider and donuts. Coats and proceeds to benefit the Beverly Bootstraps Thrift Shop.
