The Kenston Board of Education and the Kenston Education Association (K.E.A.) recognize that providing quality educational programming in a safe and secure environment is a joint responsibility.

Together we are working on a plan to transition students back into the Middle School.  We believe that it is in the best interest of our student's education to complete the first semester in their current locations. We await testing results and the building inspection by the Geauga Health Department, with the anticipation that students and staff will return to the Middle School at the start of the second semester.  Specific communication will be provided to students, staff and parents regarding the transition plan by Friday, December 15th.

Industrial hygiene testing for volatile organic compounds (VOC), airborne fungi and airborne fibers has been performed side by side by the EA Group and Armour Applied Science, LLC to confirm the testing results. The results will be shared with the community when they are received.

Building Councils will be utilized to resolve issues by working collaboratively to shape the educational environment and facilitate communication.

We value and appreciate the collaboration of our faculty, staff and administrative team to identify and address procedures and practices that will make the Kenston Local School District a stronger organization.

Sincerely,
