Contributions to the Scholarship Fund Needed

More than two-thirds of the campers who attend Science Camp need financial aid to attend. Unfortunately, there are some students that we are unable to assist sufficiently to make it possible for them to come to camp.

Your donation of $5, $10 or more to the Science Camp Scholarship Fund can help make Science Camp possible for those kids who would otherwise never have a chance to participate in this amazing experience.

Please click here to make your tax-deductible contribution today.

Another way to help is through Amazon Smile. When you shop at Amazon, Amazon will make a donation to Science Camp!

So Exactly How Geeky are the Science Camp Staff?

The answer is really geeky. Here's a story that will show you just how geeky they are. This summer, after our field trip to the Keck Observatory Headquarters in Waimea, the campers were outside on the grass playing frisbee.

Most of the staff were still in the lobby of Keck HQ when
Andrea Ghez walked in. Andrea Ghez is the brilliant astronomer who, among other things, discovered the black hole at the center of Milky Way galaxy.

We were star-struck (pun intended), to say the least. Astronomers don't often get to go home and tell their families they were treated like rockstars, but Ms. Gehz certainly was able to do so that day. It was really a thrill to meet her.

Yup, we've definitely got Science Geek cred now.
