Sometimes the Lord gives an opportunity to share a season of time with a dear Believer who lives life "out loud" with unparalleled passion for Jesus and extraordinary compassion. I had that privilege over a period of several years with a precious friend named Jim Frith. He inspired me in so many ways, both personally and in ministry through Beautiful Gate Translations. His darling wife, Terry, and he prayed for and supported this ministry amidst so many other fabulous missions organizations. Jim fought a 2-1/2 year battle with a beast called cancer which consumed his body, but not his passion. Even to the very end, he loved, prayed, trusted and then met His Beloved face-to-face in May of this year.
We grieved and worshiped at his funeral service, and the Lord confirmed His desire to me that we were to dedicate our next Bible study translation project to Jim's loving memory. So that is what we are doing. The project was launched soon after his passing and Terry is graciously "on board" with this tribute to her beloved. The anticipated completion is the Fall of 2018. Jim Frith was also a Beloved Disciple who inspired a legacy of love. We miss you, dear brother, but rejoice that your memory lives on to encourage those you invested in on this side of eternity.
