United Way is now scheduling appointments for free tax preparation assistance for low- to moderate-income individuals, with special attention to those sixty and older. Trained volunteers will help those needing assistance with electronically filing Homestead Credit and/or State and Federal Income Taxes. This free tax preparation assistance program is aimed to help low- to moderate-income taxpayers have more discretionary income for everyday essentials, such as food and housing.

Tax preparation assistance is available by appointment only and will be held in the back of the United Way building. To schedule an appointment, please call Marshfield Area United Way at 715-384-9992 or email [email protected].

MAKING AN IMPACT...

The daughter of a 94 year old contacted Home Delivered Meals about her mom and her mentally disabled brother who was living with her mom. The daughter lived out of town and was concerned that her mother and brother were not eating properly. Home Delivered Meals were set up for both of them, which enabled the mother to tend to her house and her son. Receiving the meals also allowed them to be able to remain in their home, the only home they have ever known, for many months until finally other living arrangements had to be made. The family was so grateful to Home Delivered Meals and United Way for supporting this family as long as possible in their home.

Your gift to United Way helped improve the health and well-being of 163 home-bound individuals in the Marshfield community through the Home Delivered Meals program in 2016. Your generosity is making an impact in our community.
