Happy New Year from all of us at Adserveo! We've got some big things in store for 2017 and we're excited to share them with you. For starters, we've got a brand new look!

One of the things we're most excited about is that we're  moving to a monthly newsletter format. Our focus will be on highlighting local non-profit events and programs around the city. If you're interested in promoting your event or highlighting one of your programs in our Adserveo@Work newsletter, contact Erika at [email protected].  We're also interested in connecting with you! Check back for updates on Adserveo meet ups, future volunteer fairs and much much more!

We're looking forward to working with you!

Happy 2017!

January is National Mentoring Month
This January Adserveo joins the national campaign of National Mentoring Month to talk about the importance of mentoring and highlight local non-profits that are looking for mentors.
There's no denying that there is a mentoring gap in the United States. Currently 1 in 3 young people are growing up without a mentor and as the gap grows wider our children are the ones that suffer.

Mentors play a vital role in a child's life and research shows us the positive impact a mentor can have on a child. The graphic to the right highlights the importance of mentors to today's youth.

With a mentor, kids are less likely to skip a day of school, and less likely to start using drugs. Mentees are more likely to participate in extracurricular activities  and 55% more likely to be enrolled in college. A child who is mentored is also more likely to volunteer in their community.

Sherri Richardson from Goodwill GoodGuides gave us her take on the importance of mentoring:

"Mentoring, at its core, guarantees young people that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges, and makes them feel like they matter. Research confirms that quality mentoring relationships have powerful positive effects on young people in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations. Ultimately, mentoring connects a young person to personal growth and development, and social and economic opportunity. Yet one in three young people will grow up without this critical asset."

Investing in today's youth will help us pave the way for a brighter tomorrow. Check out Adserveo's Mentorship Opportunities to find a local organization in need of mentors today!

January is national mentoring month. Zerorez is a proud supporter of the ideals of mentorship. Take a moment to acknowledge the mentors in your life. We all have people who help us be the best version of ourselves and often, we too are those people for others. Find out where your talents can help others and volunteer today!
Community means so much more than where you live.  It's a new year and it's a great time to start something new. Why not make a plan to volunteer at a local charity or help out at a school? Together, let's make a difference for our community in 2017!
The Union Gospel Mission is passionate about breaking the cycle of homelessness, abuse and addiction. Toward that end, each year more than 3,000 people are fed, sheltered and given all the resources necessary to rebuild their lives.
