Bring your menorah and a sweet treat and celebrate the holiday with both new and familiar faces in your very own neighborhood. Space is limited in each apartment, registration is required. The Miracle of the Chanukah (LED) Lights

 You know the story of a one day supply of oil lasting for eight days. Today's equivalent is the LED light bulb that lasts for years. How many Temple Israel members does it take to change [the world with] a light bulb? Now that Daylight Savings Time has ended and we're turning our lights on earlier in the evening, please join the Temple Israel Green Team in making sure that your home has only-or mostly-LED bulbs. LEDs save, on average, 7/8 of electricity as compared with standard bulbs...the equivalent of a year round Chanukah miracle! Read more, or contact Joan Rachlin with any questions.
