Congratulations to current MS in Cybersecurity student, Jared O'Connor (MCAS '17), who shared good news of a new position.  Jared notes that he,"chose the BC Cybersecurity program because I was confident I would receive the practical skills and knowledge necessary to obtain employment in the information security field, as a result of the distinguished professors and comprehensive curriculum.

Jared O'Connor
After only two courses, I was equipped with the knowledge to land a job as an Associate Risk Analyst with Steward
Healthcare, the nations largest for-profit healthcare company.

Throughout the interview process the hiring managers were taken aback by the scope and depth of my knowledge which explicitly vindicated the value of the program in my mind.

Thank you for all Woods has done to help me out."

Sarah Says
A piece of advice from longtime WCAS administrator Sarah Piepgrass

"Get Help!"

Your instructors truly want to help you succeed.  They know this work/life/college juggling act is hard.  In fact, professors often say that their favorite students are the ones who aren't afraid to ask for help.  It's OK to ask for help - more than OK, it's recommended!

Just ask.  It really is that simple.  Get help from a tutor, get help from a professor, get help from classmates.  In short, take responsibility for your own educational success.  And by the same token, if you're doing great in a subject, become a tutor and help out one of your classmates.  Be engaged and involved in the cycle of learning that makes Woods College such a special place.

Looking For Off Campus Housing?
Sub-Lessees are needed Off-Campus!

Many BC students have spring semester sublets available. A significant amount of BC students have chosen to go abroad in the spring rather than the fall, resulting in this imbalance. With that said, many students are reducing the rent at these units to help entice potential sub-tenants.
