From the Office of the Principal
Hello Loyola Family,

Semester Exam Information
Thursday, January 12th and Friday, January 13th will be the dates for our high school semester exams.  Friday, January 13th wraps up our first semester and those two days will bring about a different schedule for your high school student.  These two days will only be half days for 9th-12th graders. Each day, the first exam will begin at 8am sharp. We are asking all students to be in their block 1 classroom by 7:45am so attendance can be taken, a positive and supporting testing environment can be created, and so exams can begin on time at 8:00am.

If students have block 1 or block 5 as a study hall they do not have have to report until 15 minutes before block 2 or 6, which would be at 8:45am. If students have blocks 4 or 8 as a study hall they may leave after their 3rd or 7th period block. Students with study halls in blocks 2, 3, 6, and 7 must report to their study hall.

After completion of blocks 4 and 8 respectively, students may leave for the day. Block 4 and 8 exams will be completed at 11:55am.

Senior Retreat
The senior retreat is coming up. This is a requirement at Loyola and something that your child will long remember. It brings that special group of seniors together.  We will be starting to build momentum for that special event and hope you will at home with your senior. Thank you! Our retreat staff has started to get the ball rolling to make this year another great event. It is February 1st through the 3rd.

Catholic Schools Week
Our Catholic Schools Week committee is also in the meeting and planning stages. We are looking forward to a great week, January 30th-February 3rd. Please stay tuned for specific details in the days leading up to CSW.

The Good News
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  We are excited to be back for the 2017 portion of our school year. We are blessed to have Sister Mary Beth back working with us full-time.  That has been a blessing and we are happy to have all she brings to the table for our school. In other great news, we will soon be welcoming Mrs. Degen back from maternity leave. What a welcoming start to new year!

Sincerely,

Adam Bemmels, Principal
