Sailing with young children aboard a Lagoon 42, "Knotty Dreamer" by Tara Stobbe
While many other Charter Companies were focused on getting their base and boats back together The Catamaran Company has been in full swing since November 10th, 2017 sending out our catamarans on Charter with our Charter Guests. We started a group on facebook where our guests can post their sailing tips and itineraries to sail it forward for the next Charter Guest. Our group has grown to over 700 members in a short time and we welcome all charter guests from all charter companies, sailors and anyone who has something to share when on charter or on their private boat whilst sailing in the BVI.
You might have already been following Colt Luedde and John Vernon on Peace Out, Lagoon 450 and now Tara Stobbe is aboard Lagoon 42' Knotty Dreamer". Tara booked a Lagoon 42 with us and is exploring the BVI with her Husband and two young kids.
It is very interesting to follow because sometimes we may forget what the British Virgin Islands is all about. It is not all about the Irma Cat 5 Painkillers at Foxy's that is open or the Willie T that still might be beached but about the Baths, Caves, Bubbly Pools, Hikes, Anegada, Marine life, Snorkeling, Sailing and ALWAYS that magnificent Blue Green Ocean- we invite you to come discover the natural wonders of the British Virgin Islands with your friends and family.

"The Baths are still AMAZING! We were boat 2 of 2 boats in the mooring field. Last time we were there we had to wait in line for an opening on a mooring. Once exploring the granite boulders it was like we had it all to ourselves. The restaurant Top of the Baths is open. We didn't make it up, but plan to later in the week.
Trellis Bay is clear and has a brand new dock to tie your dinghy to. We picked up guests from the airport here. They were able to walk straight to the beach from the airport. It looked like one of the restaurants is open and ready for customers. Bring bug spray! no-seeums are bad here.
The sail to Anegada was perfection and the Anchorage too. We had 10-15 knot winds from the ENE. Greeted by sea turtles in the mooring field and silky white sand beaches. Potter's was open for drinks and dinner started at 6:00. It looked like many of the other restaurants would open for dinner, but we had to get back to the boat for fussy kids bedtime! we'll check dinner out tonight. Headed inshore to drop of garbage and do laundry right now. Internet up here is great too. Also they have a small market for some grocery items.
If anyone is thinking about booking a charter DO IT. Sooner rather than later. Even though many things are damaged the atmosphere here in the BVI's is paradise. I don't feel like we have missed out until on anything. In fact quite the opposite. With less boats around we can go anywhere anytime and not be crowded out."
