What's happening at Le Pichet in February 2017
Now's the time for oysters
Traditional wisdom holds that oysters should only be eaten during months with an "R", between September and April.  Here at Le Pichet, we have always believed that the best and only time to eat oysters is when they are at their best and that means during the cold months.  That's why we put off adding them to the menu until it starts to get cold in late fall and stop serving them with the warming spring.  Right now we are in the oyster sweet spot; after months in cold winter waters, oysters are firm, plump and delicious! We are offering a choice of beautiful Puget Sound oysters prepared in the traditional Bordelaise style, raw on the half shell accompanied by a grilled pork chipolata sausage and sauce mignonette.  With a glass of crisp white Bordeaux or of muscadet, what could be simpler or better?
