Sydney Brumbelow grew up in Chesterfield, Virginia and graduated from Cosby High School. She earned an
Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Southside Virginia Community College.
Since completing her degree at SVCC, Sydney has been employed as a Registered Nurse. She currently works in the operating room at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill. In addition to her career in nursing, Sydney competes in rodeos in barrel racing, which she compares to a second full-time job.
Her future plans include becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Toward achieving that goal, Sydney has returned to SVCC to complete prerequisite courses needed to continue her education at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Sydney calls SVCC a, "great community college with very supportive staff who truly want to see each student succeed."
