Advent Service Project - Toiletry Drive for the Jimmy Heath House
In 2010, the Jimmy Heath House was opened to serve the longest-term homeless individuals in our community. The project is based on the "housing first" principle, the idea that chronically homeless people can become clinically and socially stable faster when homelessness is eliminated.
We will be collecting supplies to donate to the Jimmy Heath House to assist them with their many needs. The drive will end next Friday, December 15, 2017. Students have been assigned items by family and should turn in their items to their faculty mentor. Below is a list of each family's items.
Regina Soap (bars, liquid)
Chaminade Shampoo/Conditioner
Gardner Chapstick
Eveslage Q-tips
Hart Lotion
Politi Socks
Powers Toothpaste
Hackberry Combs/Brushes
Fahrig Toothpaste

Main Office Can No Longer Hold Money for Students
Please note that the Main Office is no longer permitted to hold money for your student for any reason. Please do not put Ms. Kumar in the awkward position of asking her to do so, as this is a liability issue both for her and the school. Please make sure to plan ahead to give your student any money s/he needs for the school day.

Good Samaritan College Field Trip
Kicks Off New College Credit Offerings!
Our Good Samaritan College field trip was a huge success. Our students had the opportunity to meet and work with the Psychology professor, view the skills lab, and be taught a lesson on the anatomy of the eye, followed by a dissection.
Any student interested in attending a class at Good Samaritan College should see Ms. Nowlin in guidance to get signed up. Below is some information on the College Credit Plus classes offered at Good Samaritan.
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) allows and encourages students to take college level courses through the College Credit Plus program (CCP). The CCP program allows students the opportunity to simultaneously earn college and high school credit at a reduced rate.
We have created a partnership with the Good Samaritan College of Nursing to better facilitate our utilization of the CCP program. Good Samaritan offers many general education courses that our students can take eliminating the need to take these general courses when they attend college. These courses are transferable to all state universities and to many out of state universities as well.
*
Good Samaritan is offering an Intro to Psychology class next semester at no cost to the student. It is offered on Thursdays from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
* A course catalog of course offerings is located in the Guidance Office with additional courses costing $41.00 per credit hour.
Students wanting to participate in the CCP program need to meet with Ms. Nowlin in the Guidance Department to discuss the course(s) they would like to take. Ms. Nolwin will walk students through the application process to ensure enrollment in the course. Students must meet the college's admission requirements in order to take the course, which are:

Calling All Parents: P3 Needs You!
Our next meeting is tonight!
Merry Christmas from P3!! We are so grateful for the support that we receive from all of our volunteers, teachers, staff and administration. Here is an opportunity to thank our Purcell Marian staff in a very special way, by donating to the teacher's gift fund.
Every year, we collect donations from families to give back to our teachers and staff to thank them for all that they do for our children. Please consider contributing to this wonderful gift. Checks/cash can be dropped off at the front desk or you can pay via Venmo @Lisa-Hilbert. There is more than one Lisa Hilbert on Venmo, so please be sure to include the hyphen!!
Please take a moment to review the sign up for Teacher/Staff luncheon. We love our volunteers and hope to see many of you there!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!
