New Beginnings
 
The end of a year is the time many of us evaluate and resolve to begin anew. Sustainable resolutions do exist, and even better, they can help you build the foundation for a long, healthy and happy life!

Create a Master Plan
Determine what you actually need to do to achieve your goals. Maybe you'll have to wake up an hour earlier or spend one lunch hour a week dedicated to your intention. You have to schedule your goals and make them a part of your life.

Keep Your Eye on the Ball 
keep a list of your goals on the wall, in your calendar or at your desk. This allows you to visualize and check on them often, make adjustments, and check them off your list. Maps, lists and pictures that embody success will keep you motivated.

Quiet Reflection 
Set aside 15 minutes every day to just think. Reflect on your day and think about what you want to do better tomorrow. Your quiet
time could become the most instrumental part of your day.
 
 
Establish a Weekly Goal  
Establish a small, yet challenging goal for the week. Whether you want to run 10 miles or you plan to organize your desk or office, write down your intentions. Research shows if you write your goals down, you'll increase your chances of success by 42%.  
   
Reward Yourself 
To stay focused and motivated for the long haul, celebrate your successes. For example, if you are trying to lose weight don't wait until you've reached your ultimate goal to reward yourself with something that makes you feel great.  Each small goal you set gives you an opportunity to build confidence and be motivated to keep going.

During the New Year, take a few simple steps to make it easier to fulfill the promises you make to yourself and your family.
