November In Review:
November was a month that brought three early-release days. The kids enjoyed a Wheels Day in which they had fun using our rc cars, building with Magic Tracks and waiting on the bingo wheel to roll out their winning numbers. A day full of wheel fun and prizes.
During the second half-day of the month, we all enjoyed being entertained by a street performer and watched the classic movie, The Princess Bride. During the last half-day before Thanksgiving, we enjoyed a Tailgate/Turkey Day. Despite the rainy weather we ate our hot dogs for lunch and a popcorn turkey for snack. The kids helped to whip up some amazing whoopie pies.
We are spending a lot more time in the gym since the time change.  The kids are learning some of our classic MAP games such as ultimate cracker dodge, maze ball, and kick the can.
It has been amazing to see how creative the kids are this year. The MAP teachers have been presenting them with some great projects, but the kids have been taking them to another level and putting their own spin on them.  They might be presenting some of them as gifts for the upcoming holidays.

Club Update:
Clubs are in full swing and the kids seem to be enjoying them. Sean has the kids learning new games and playing old ones as well. during his Games Club.
Sarah has been helping those kids in Book Club to transfer all their creativety to pencil and paper. She had Medfield's own Carina Christo come in and speak to the kids about her first experience of writing a book as a freshman in high school. You can find Carina's book, titled Loud Silence, at Park St. Books.
In Sewing Club, Leah has the kids learning how to hand stitch and use the sewing machine while making their own pillows, purses and stuffed animals.  Stephanie's International Cooking Club kids are cooking three-course meals in the kitchen while learning about various cultures and food origins. She is teaching and travelling tastefully.
Upcoming Events:
Polar Express Performance
For several years your kids have enjoyed MAP's traditional version of the Polar Express, performed by the MAP teachers. Last year, we at MAP @ the Pfaff created our own tradition in which the Pfaff kids performed the Polar Express for the MAPsters at the K-1 site.  It's a magical event full of music, dancing and hot chocolate. This event will take place during the early-release on Friday, December 22. Hopefully, your child will be involved.  Feel free to join us for a MAPtastical journey.

A Dozen Days of Donations!
MAP @ the Pfaff has set a goal for ourselves to accomplish 12 days of donating items and our time to those who are less fortunate. The kids were full of very thoughtful ideas such as donating items of clothing, school supplies, books, food and pet supplies, to name a few.  Rather than trying to squeeze it in before the holiday crunch, we decided to make this our goal for the new year. We will be creating a donation tree for families to pick for some of our chosen causes. The staff feels this will be a great opportunity to work towards a common goal and learn how to help serve our community.  We thank you in advance for your help.

Winter is here!!!
As the cold and snow moves in, we like to take advantage of a great opportunity to play and build snow forts. Please encourage your child to come equipped with snow gear.
