You're Part of our Team: Let's Make an Impact this Legislative Session!

Statehouse Square
The 2017 Indiana General Assembly came into session this week. Already, HEC's team is busy meeting lawmakers, collaborating with our partners, engaging our supporters and the public at large.

We succeed when you and friends across our state are part of our team!

Three Things that You Can Do
See the below stories for more details.
2. Attend an upcoming town hall "Third House" meeting.
3. Follow developments on Facebook & Twitter!

Three Things You Can Say to Your Lawmakers
Please make time to talk or email your state representative & state senator.  They are  far more accessible than you might think! Urge your lawmakers to:

1. Support the clean up of Indiana's dirtiest sites, by backing greater funding for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM).

2.   Enhance the quality of life of our communities, which retains & attracts great people, by supporting greater funding for the Department of Natural Resources, the President Benjamin Harrison Conservation Trust, Clean Water Indiana, mass transit, and passenger rail.

3. Keep Indiana competitive in the fast-growing clean energy economy, by supporting incentives for solar energy, like "net metering".

Speaking up at a Third House meeting is a powerful way to impact the thinking of your representatives!

Get more details about what you can say or ask at the Third House meetings by going to our Bill Watch 2017 page for more information.
