You're invited to join Bishop Robert "Bob" Hoshibata from the Desert Southwest Conference as well as members from other churches in the East District at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church Saturday, January 21, 9:30 am-12:30 pm. Our church is hosting the Bishop's "Holy Huddles on the Unity of the Church." Meet in the sanctuary in the spirit of community worship.
Pastor's Message

Dear Friends in Faith,

Jesus can pack a lot into a prayer.

As we look at the Lord’s Prayer this month, we see how this prayer defines our relationship to God and each other. We pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Jesus told us much about the Kingdom of God. In God’s reign of love and justice God’s will is lived and shared in all our relationships. We long to live in this kind of place, where God’s ways define all our relationships, where God’s will fully guides and governs our lives. We know this earthly plane is often far from God’s desires. To pray for God’s will to be done on earth is not merely a wish on our part. It is a call to action.... 

Meet the Magi (3 Kings) January 8
It's Epiphany and the Magi are traveling to see Jesus, led by the star in the East. Come to PVUMC on  Sunday,  January 8, 2017  to see the Wise Men and hear tales of wonder and joy when they meet Jesus, the newborn king. They'll have gifts for all the children at 9:30 am Sunday School. 


Worship with PVUMC
Paradise Valley United Methodist Church (PVUMC) welcomes you to worship at 8, 9:30 or 11:15 am. Childcare is available in G1, and children and youth begin their new year with classes at 9:30 am. The Ignite (alternative 11:15 am service) has a "children's corner" for supervised play, and Praise Paks are available for children at every service. Community Concert: January 20
Register on Eventbrite for PVUMC's Community Concert on Friday, January 20 at 7pm featuring some of the best vocalists from the Phoenix Conservatory of Music. The young singers will entertain us with ensemble performances of jazz, blues and pop music, as well as classical solo selections and solo/ ensemble original singer /songwriter works.

Join us for an evening of fun in the Fellowship Center, 6-8 pm, Friday, January 27, 2017. It's our annual Bingo Night!
