In Memory of James Miller

James Michael Miller, age 66, born on July 31, 1950 in Goshen Indiana, died in Tahoe City on December 23, 2016. Jim attended Northern Arizona University, Mortuary Science School and served in the US Navy, as an OR Technician in the Vietnam War. Jim worked in the funeral business for 40 plus years and followed his dream by becoming the owner and operator of F.D. Sweet & Sons Mortuary in Orland and Red Bluff Simple Cremation and Burial Service. Jim is survived by his wife, Sue, who he married on February 04, 1990, 3 children, Jason with his wife Stacy, Morgan and Andy, 4 grandchildren, Darrian, Taelar, Dominic and Ayla and one sister, Johanna.

Jim loved to experience the outdoors by golfing and skiing in the Sierras. Jim showed his generous spirit by volunteering and participating in fundraisers through the Orland Rotary Club. He was involved in the Barnabus club with Bidwell Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed having a glass of wine with a good cigar while visiting with his family and friends. He especially loved to travel with his wife and best friend, Sue.

Services will be held at Bidwell Presbyterian Church on January 07, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. His family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bidwell Presbyterian Church.
