EIGHTH GRADER BAKES UP LOVE FOR SB UNITY SHOPPE THIS SATURDAY 12/9
Laguna eighth grader  Nicole Khodabandehlou  is once again spreading holiday cheer and plenty of frosting during this season of giving.

Her third annual holiday bake sale will be held this  Saturday, December 9 from 10AM-5PM  at the Santa Barbara Design Center on 410 Olive Street (next to SB Home Improvement Center). All proceeds will be donated to the  Unity Shoppe .

The Unity Shoppe has been near and dear to Nicole since fourth grade, when she invited Unity’s Director of Operations Barbara Tellefson to Laguna’s Fourth Grade Citizenship Breakfast. Nicole has been volunteering at Unity ever since. In addition to her annual bake sale, she volunteers at the Unity Shoppe by stocking shelves with donations and helping families with their Christmas shopping.

Last year, Nicole's treats brought in over $2,000, and she hopes to exceed that number this year.

This Saturday, all are invited to come by and purchase some delicious sweets for a good cause. After the bake sale, Nicole will head over to the Unity Shoppe to donate her proceeds at the annual telethon.

Way to go, Nicole!
FOSTER CARE GIFT DRIVE SUCCESS!
Thank you to the families who participated in our annual Foster Care Holiday Gift Drive. Although the special assembly to present the gifts to CASA was canceled due to smoke, the gifts were picked up and this holiday season will be a little brighter for hundreds of children served by CASA.
GIFT MATCHING OPPORTUNITY FOR LAGUNA FUND

If you are a first-time donor to the Laguna Fund, an anonymous donor has offered to match your pledge or gift 1:1 up to a total of $25,000 if made by December 25.
WHOOO ARE YOU?
NAME: Allison Armstrong
ROLE: Fifth Grade Teacher

What ONE word best describes you?
#GlassHalfFull (If you make it a hashtag, it counts as one word!)

What’s an interesting fact about you?
I had a radio show in college with my friend, Alex. It was called "Happy Hour with Al and Al." We'd play upbeat songs and share only positive world news.

What would be the most amazing adventure you could go on?
Something that allows me to travel with a friend, experience the wilderness through hiking or other physical adventures, but ALSO experience cultures and new cities. I think I just described The Amazing Race.

MARGAUX MURPHY RECEIVES PHIL WOMBLE ETHICS IN SPORTS AWARD
BY NOOZHAWK

One of the qualities Laguna Blanca athletic director and girls volleyball coach Jason Donnelly appreciates about Margaux Murphy '19 is how she deeply cares about others.

A great example of Murphy’s caring is the more than 200 hours she’s logged as a member of the National Charity League.

MS ENTREPRENEURSHIP CLASS NEEDS YOUR HELP
Students in Laguna's Middle School Entrepreneurship Class are working with Kyoko Town, a local jewelry company, to help them determine prices for their products. As part of their research, students created a brief, anonymous survey about jewelry buying trends and request your participation. Thank you for your time!
The Warm Things Drive has been extended until January 11. Please look in your closets for any items you can donate. Donations may be dropped off in the following locations:

  • Fourth grade classroom
