The MyJCC page is where you access your student email, Blackboard, Banner, DegreeWorks, event calendars and more. This is how JCC communicates with you, so check your email often. For answers to frequently asked questions, visit our website.
Access your courses online
Blackboard is JCC's learning management system.  Some instructors may use it to distribute course materials and communicate with you. To see your courses, go to MyJCC and click on Courses. Courses are made available seven days prior to the course start date.
Student Bills

Jamestown Community College will not be mailing paper billing statements to students.  In efforts for JCC to support a paperless, greener environment we will be eliminating the mailing of paper bills.  Student bills can be viewed at https://banner.sunyjcc.edu

Student Workers
Make some money while you attend Jamestown Community College with an on-campus job. We have a variety of work study and student assistant positions. Read about the student job opportunities offered at your campus and apply online.
Accessibility Services
Jamestown Community College is dedicated to providing quality education to all students.  The college provides a variety of services to assist students with disabilities during their academic careers.  To arrange for assistance, contact the Accessibility Services Office at 716.338.1251.
Student Insurance

All full-time students (12 credit hours or more) will have $11.00 accident insurance added directly to their bill. Accident insurance is optional for part-time students. Contact the Business Office for further information. 

Parking Permits

Parking permits for JCC personnel and students on the Cattaraugus County Campus are required. Parking permit decals must be affixed to vehicles.  Parking regulations and applications for decals can be obtained in the Campus Store.

Student ID Cards
Student ID cards can be obtained at the Campus Store.
 
Student must present picture ID and show copy of their class schedule/student bill showing their student J# to receive ID.
 
Student ID cards provide access to many programs and services (i.e. library, YMCA Fitness Center access).
 
DO NOT DEFACE YOUR STUDENT ID.  DO NOT HOLE PUNCH, CUT, OR BEND IT.  Replacement cards will cost $20.
 
Returning students should have their ID cards validated in the Campus Store.
Deans' List

The Deans' List certificate is issued to full-time students who have earned a GPA of 3.5 or better in 12 or more credit hours completed during the preceding semester.   


The Part-time Student Deans' List recognizes all part-time students who have earned a GPA of 3.5 or better in 6-11 credit hours completed during the preceding semester, excluding Imputed and CR grades.  The academic success of these top students is acknowledged with a certificate and notation on the student's official transcript. 
Activity Hour
No classes are scheduled during the activity hour from 12-1:15 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays so that students may conduct club meetings and participate in special events such as lectures and cultural activities.  For more information on upcoming events, consult the  campus life calendar, contact Lisa Yohon, Director of Campus Life in the campus life office in COLL or check out their Facebook page.
Recreation and Fitness
Students with a valid JCC-Cattaraugus ID card can take advantage of fitness equipment and the gymnasium at the YMCA, located at 1101 Wayne Street in Olean.  JCC and the YMCA are partners in this state-of-the-art facility, where JCC-Cattaraugus men's basketball team games are held, and intramural activities can be scheduled.

Financial  Responsibility 
Agreement

Registering for classes creates a financial obligation with the college. If you are registered on or prior to Tuesday, January 3, 2017 you must complete the Financial Responsibility Agreement by Friday, January 6th, or you will lose your Spring 2017 class registration. The Financial Responsibility Agreement must be completed every semester, even if your bill is completely covered by financial aid. For more information,  click here.
Immunization Requirements

There are two NY State public health laws affecting college students enrolled in 6 or more credits. The first requires students to demonstrate proof of immunity against measles, mumps, and rubella.  The second requires the college to provide students with information about meningococcal meningitis and also requires the student to acknowledge receipt of this information and indicate his/her choice regarding vaccination. (Meningitis vaccination is not mandatory, although the response form is mandatory).

Failure to comply will result in a $25 fine and administrative withdrawal from the college.
Smoking Regulations

 

JCC will prohibit smoking and use of chewing tobacco and other tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) on all campus-owned grounds, including parking lots, and residence halls.

 

"Tobacco" is defined as all tobacco and tobacco-derived products intended for human consumption, including, but not limited to: cigarettes, cigars, hookah smoked products, clove cigarettes, black & mild, bidis, kreteks, electronic cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, and snus.

Certificate of Residency

All students residing in New York State are required to provide a valid Certificate of Residence each academic year in order to qualify for the in-state tuition rate. The Certificate of Residence application may be submitted to the business office no earlier than 60 days prior to the start of the semester, and no later than 30 days after the semester begins. Tuition for students who do not provide a valid Certificate of Residence will be calculated at the out-of-state rate. Meal Plans

Declining balance meal plans ($105 - $405) can be purchased in the Campus Store for use on grab 'n go items and custom orders through a contracted food services providerThis allows for tax-free dining in the café and for purchase of snacks and beverages in the Campus Store. Look for more information on meal plans at campusstore.sunyjcc.edu.
JCC Campus Store

The Cattaraugus Campus Store is located in COLL and has a variety of school supplies, technology, snacks, drinks, and apparel.  Textbooks can be ordered through our web store at
campusstore.sunyjcc.edu beginning Jan. 10th with in-store pickup or home delivery (shipping extra).

Financial aid can be used for textbooks starting January 10th.  Credit cards are also accepted online. Payment by check or cash is available for orders picked up in the store.

The Campus Store will be open Jan. 10th and 11th from 9 am - 1:30 pm; Jan. 12th from 9 am - 6 pm and Jan. 13th from 9 - 1:30. The store will be closed January 16th for Martin Luther King Day and will have extended hours during the first week of classes.

Regular store hours are Mon - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Peer-2-Peer

Are you a first-year student?  Would you like additional support and guidance at JCC?  Then sign up for our Peer-2-Peer program and get the help you desire. The Peer-2-Peer program matches you with a student mentor who will help you navigate Banner, Blackboard, college Gmail, and other pesky computer applications.  In addition, your mentor will encourage you to make wise choices that will impact your academic and career decisions and help you achieve your goals.
