ATTENTION STUDENTS!!
Online Room Tips
Students, please make sure you know how to enter your online room.
If a room name and JOIN is not viewable under the Online Rooms link, please look in your GOC gmail for a link inviting you to your teacher's online room. The link will come from "gwinnettonline" so you can do a search for just those emails. You will want to select the link at the top of the email list as that is the most applicable. The teacher name will be viewable once you've opened the email. If you still have questions, please carefully read your news announcements and/or contact your teacher directly.
Once you are in the online room via Adobe Connect:
- Please use a headset with microphone along with your webcam. Our teachers want to see your smiling faces, they care about you. Please be logged in, have webcam on, have completed audio setup wizard, and be ready to learn at least 2 minutes before each virtual session.
- Please make sure you turn on your Chat Sounds so you can be notified when your teacher types something to you in the chat box.

GOC INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURE
Due to the unique learning environment at Gwinnett Online Campus, students have access to course content 24/7. In the event of a GCPS closure due to inclement weather, the GOC building will be closed. However, Gwinnett Online Campus will continue to deliver instruction and maintain its regular online school schedule. Learning Labs will still continue virtually. If there are widespread power outages in Gwinnett County, a plan for makeup days or extensions for due dates will be communicated as soon as possible on the GOC Website, Facebook, and Twitter. Extended deadlines are built into many of the courses which already allows flexibility in the case of brief power outages. In the event that individual students experience outages that last for more than a few hours, work extensions will be handled with students on an individual basis.
