Celebrate Our "In Residence" Friends Sunday Jan. 22 (Cathedral Day), 10:30 a.m. service In the early 2000's, then-Dean John Chane inaugurated an "in residence" program. He appointed individuals from various fields of expertise to enjoy a special relationship with the cathedral. Over the years, the program has become less defined, and the Dean has discerned that it is time to bring this program to a close and instead find a contemporary way to develop relationships and honor prominent individuals in our community. This month we will acknowledge and thank these "In Residence" friends of the cathedral as they retire from their roles.
It's Time to Pledge for 2017!
Thank you to all who have pledged to the 2017 Courageous Journeys campaign! There is still time for you to help with our goal of reaching $1,080,000 in pledges. We have $140,000 remaining to reach that goal. Only with your generosity can we live into our common mission together with God. Consider pledging today! If you have already done so, please consider increasing your pledge. Use one of the pledge cards in the pew pocket Sunday, fill it out and drop it in the offering plate or pledge online: www.stpaulcathedral.org/pledgenow. Thank you for your support!

Upcoming Sunday 9 a.m. Forums
In 2017, the Sunday 9:00 a.m. forums are focusing on reconciliation, with the aim of hearing the stories of and coming face to face with those who are different than we are. This month, we explore the question, "Who Is My Neighbor?"
Forums are in the Guild Room, unless otherwise noted.

Casa Cornelia is a non-profit organization here in San Diego committed to providing quality pro bono legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations. Come and hear about the important work this organization is doing, and learn about the many dynamics at play within our community around these issues.
Reconciliation 2017: "Bound With Them: A Look at the PRO Mentor Program," Jan. 29
The author of the letter to the Hebrews exhorts us to "Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them." (Heb. 13:3) Therefore, join us in the great hall to hear from the PRO Mentor program director Tom Morelli about the opportunities available to work with and mentor recently released prison inmates in San Diego, and to answer this resounding call from scripture.
