Oh yeah, it's resolution time. Don't act surprised. It's been happening every year of your life at this time for as long as you can remember.
If your resolution is to eat as poorly as you possibly can for an entire year, we really recommend you skip this story. Um, and the next one.
But we promise that this one has pretzels and some other stuff that you'd probably like, so it behooves you to read on.

Laura Gebhardt loves to eat well, and that includes when she's traveling. So we turned to her for some ways to behave when you're away from the Mother Ship.
"Dry roasted edamame is great to pack on trips," says Laura. "It's low-carb, a vegetable, not fried and keeps well when you travel. I also like turkey jerky, which is nice and flat and fits easily into your purse or suitcase."
For breakfast, Laura suggests whole grain oatmeal packets. "Quite often, breakfasts are not made with the most health conscious ingredients. These packets are easy to travel with and can be made with hot water in your hotel room."
Since many trips require long hours of work, staying well is imperative. Laura suggests tossing some Emergen-C packets in your bag.
Don't stop now, Laura. We're feeling better already.
"I like pretzels if I need a carb fix and they contain no fat (usually). Dry roasted chickpeas sound weird, but they're really good. Protein shake powder packs easily as well. And whole fruits like apples give you a pick-me-up with that burst of natural fructose."
And here's the best part. "Most of these snacks are sold in airports, so even if you forget to pack them before you leave, you can still pick them up at the last minute."
That Laura. She thinks of everything!
