Our thoughts are prayers continue to be with everyone who continues to be affected by Hurricane Harvey. Truly, its unprecedented flooding is beyond anything ever experienced before.
Several of our members and churches in the Texas and Louisiana area continue to be under a severe flash flood watch, due to the ongoing pummeling rainfall from Hurricane Harvey. Although damages are already extensive, the effects of this catastrophic storm won't be known for several more days due to the rainfall that's expected to continue this week.
Rev. Terry White, Chairman of the Home Mission Board has been in contact with several NBCA pastors who indicated that they were not able to have church on Sunday due to the storm. These churches need our help and now is the time to show our love and support by either sending personal items and cleaning supplies needed and/or giving a monetary donation. We are asking every individual, church, association, and state convention to please support this cause so that NBCA can remain prepared to respond to the needs of our brothers and sisters affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Additionally, for persons who desire to come in as Missionaries to work, we are in the process of organizing a NBCA Worker Camp. More information on this NBCA Work Camp will be forthcoming.
