Nearly 20,000 gray whales pass Washington's southern coast each winter. Spot these majestic creatures from the cliffs of Cape Disappointment State Park, where the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center and North Head Lighthouse provide excellent vantage points. 


The  first Community Beach Cleanup of 2017 is Feb. 4.
Beach clean: Give back to the LBP

Love the LBP? Here's your chance to give a bit back to the beach. The first Community Beach Cleanup of 2017 is Feb. 4. Volunteers converge on every major beach approach at 9:30 a.m. The cleanup typically ends around 1 p.m. Trash bags are often available at beach approaches. No need to sign up.
