LPHS Middle School Mixer

#1school1community wants everyone to know about LPHS.  We're having a party for 7th and 8th grade kids and parents interested in learning more about Lincoln Park High School (LPHS). The Middle School Mixer at the LPHS Freshman Building, 2001 N Orchard Street on Friday, January 27th from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. Kids - meet students from other schools and enjoy pizza, a DJ, and more. Parents, meet and ask questions of current LPHS parents and mingle with future parents like you!

Condo Ombudsman Appointed

As discussed in our Condo Summit, Our State Representative Sara Feigenholtz spearheaded legislation to create a Condominium and Common Interest Community (CCIC) Ombudsperson for the state of Illinois. The office has been recently  established to provide information to unit owners, condominium and townhome community associations and their respective boards to help them better understand their rights and obligations under the Ombudsperson Act.  For more information about the CCIC Ombudsperson click here .

Savor Lincoln Park 2017

A very special celebration of Lincoln Park's culinary scene is  Tuesday, January 24 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM  at iO Chicago, 1501 N. Kingsbury Street.  Tickets  include all food, wine and beer featuring Revolution Brewing.

New Exhibitions at DePaul Art Museum

Come to the DePaul Art Museum (DPAM), 935 W Fullerton, on Thursday, January 26th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for the public opening of three new exhibitions. All programs at DPAM are free and open to the public but space is limited. Visit here for more info.

Opening Reception Potluck for House Exhibition

Join the Weinberg/Newton Gallery and Red Line Service for a opening reception potluck of their new exhibition House, focusing on homelessness issues, on Friday January 27th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weinberg/Newton Gallery, 300 W Superior Street, Suite 203. 

Weinberg/Newton Gallery, operated by 43rd Ward residents David Weinberg and "Jerry" Newton, is an exhibition space with a mission to educate and inform the public on social justice issues. 

Bring Your Own Bag, Chicago!

Starting February 1st, 2017, remember to bring your own bag - a $.07 Chicago Checkout Bag Tax begins  on all disposable paper and plastic bags used in Chicago. R eview this   flyer for information on exemptions to the Bag Tax.
