IN MEMORIUM
Victoria Anaya (Prieto) (MBA '04)
passed away on July 16, 2017.  She had been diagnosed with lupus at the age of 17, although she never let it stop her from achieving her goals.  She began her career with the Port of Los Angeles as a student worker in the Engineering Division.  Upon graduation, she was hired to the position of Management Analyst II with the Real Estate Division at the Port.  Vicky was being promoted to Senior Management Analyst with LAPD when her life unexpectedly ended.  Vicky married Jon Prieto in March 2009 and together they traveled around the world seeking adventure.  Ace, their Yorkshire terrier, was Vicky's only child and her constant companion.  When his intuitiveness in reducing her stress became apparent, she decided to share him with others in need.  After training Ace to be a therapy dog, the two of them volunteered with Love on 4 Paws, bringing smiles to hospital residents.  In her spare time, she also ran an online dog collar business fashioning bow-ties for Ace's furry friends.  Vicky was an inspiration to her sisters and encouraged them to follow their dreams.  Her smile will be missed by family, friends, co-workers, and all who had crossed her path during her time on earth.
