2017 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING INFORMATION

PLEASE SPONSOR A TABLE AT OUR ANNUAL MEETING...!  
We are asking for volunteers/businesses/merchants to donate a centerpiece for our tables at the annual meeting. The centerpieces will be numbered and we will have a silent auction for them.  The money collected will go to the Monticello Community Band who is providing our jazz entertainment for the evening.

Notice of Election of Officers and Directors.  
The Chairman of the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce would like to make public as according to the bylaws, the persons nominated by the 2017 nominating committee to serve as Board of Directors and Officers..  The election of the Board of Directors and Officers will be voted on at the Annual Membership Meeting, January 24,2017.

The following members have been nominated to continue serving on the Board of Directors:

     Leadership Jasper 2017 is part of a comprehensive plan to involve citizens, leaders and future leaders in the process of development decisions and governance. Together, understanding the roles of leadership and the interaction between entities can become an  influential and strong component factoring in improving the quality of life in our county.
     The session series is slated to begin with a reception prior to the Monticello-Jasper  County Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 with meetings following on the fourth Tuesday of each month for six months from 8:00am - 3:30pm. (Graduation June 2, 2017)
     Tuition is $85.00 per applicant.  Applications are available at the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce or online at www.jaspercountycoc.com

NOW and one lucky winner will be announced at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on January 24th  (you do not have to be present to win). 

Tickets are 5/$20.00 or $5.00 each and available in the Visitors' Center.  The Board of Directors have tickets for sale, also.

The quilt is made out of previous Deer Festival and Deer Dash t-shirts and it is amazing!!!  Mindy Clotfelter of Stitches of Monticello designed and stitched the quilt.

Learn:  We will have guest speakers offering basic education and information to meet the needs of our community and workforce.

It's time to renew your Chamber of Commerce membership.  The 2017 membership drive has begun and will continue through March 31st.   Membership renewals and invoices were mailed on January 3, 2017.

In The News
   
A great performance in the Courthouse of "My Cousin Vinny"!   Seventeen  bags of canned food items and $800.00 in cash donations were collected and donated to the  Jasper County Community Food Bank .  A special thank you to Sage Edwards who directed the play, cast member Sandra Carter, Robert James, Don Jernigan, Rob Alexander, Betty Jean Jordan,  Henry Maddox, Roger Harrison, Earl Favors, two yewts.  We also want to THANK  Paul and  Representative Susan Holmes.
