City Recycling Drop Off Centers Phasing Out
The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum recycling dumpsters were recently moved to 1150 N. North Branch outside the Household Chemicals and Computer Recycling Facility. As mentioned in the recent
DNA info article, drop off centers around the city will be removed in early 2017.
As of January 1st, 2017 all buildings are now required to provide recycling whether through city services or private scavenger. The drop-off centers were deemed unnecessary in part due to the implementation of the new ordinance.
Residents can call 311 to report noncompliance after Jan. 1 and can call 311 or my office at 773-348-9500 to request additional recycling bins.
