Join us on WEDNESDAY NIGHTS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 13, from 6:30 to 7:15 pm. We will start a new Bible study entitled "SURVEY THROUGH THE BIBLE" with the emphasis being on seeing Jesus in every book of the Bible. We will begin in the New Testament. Everyone is invited - all who are interested in learning more about the Bible! Nursery and childcare will be provided.

I love this time of the year! The air is crisper and cooler as autumn is making its arrival on the scene. School supplies have been bought, backpacks filled, and the kids have begun a brand new school year full of opportunity and promise. In many ways, every day is like that for us as believers in Christ.
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases: his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:21-23
As we gather together on Sunday mornings and during the week, let us remember to encourage one another as we proclaim the faithfulness of God in our worship and with our lives.
On a practical note, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for anyone who would like to be more involved in the Sunday worship service. We need people to take up the offering every week and to serve communion monthly. Please take some time to sign the sheet and speak to me if you have any questions. Also, with so many oF our worship team members off to school, we have quite a few openings! Pray about doing a special, or adding your voice or instrument to the weekly mix. If you are more "electronically" talented, we need people to help with the computer or sound board (training will be provided).

Sunday School Class: (Sunday at 9 am). Join us in the education wing classroom for adult Sunday School.
Bible Study: (Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:15 pm). Starting on September 13, 2017. Class for all ages - children to seniors! Nursery and childcare provided. Find Jesus in every book of the Bible!
Ladies - Fellowship with women of all ages and discover a hidden talent! Gathering of Women at Hillsboro Baptist Church in the fellowship hall on Thursday, September 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Dinner and childcare provided. The guest speaker will lead us in making our own flower arrangement. Ladies will be surprised at how easy it is to bring God's beautiful world indoors to enjoy. Youth (ages 12-18)
It is so exciting to see what God is doing in and through each teen! My first couple of weeks have been amazing. I truly believe the teens that are in Recharge are world changers. I am so thankful for the opportunity to get to know each one, and I look forward to all the events, studies, and fun that the future holds.
September will be a very busy and exciting month for the youth! We will be redecorating the youth center (the downstairs of the parsonage), and starting a new series called "
Made to Make a Difference. Can You Really Change the World?" We will also be planning an amazing outreach activity that will take place in October.
There will be two separate youth group sign-up sheets by the front door of the church. One will be for volunteers to provide Recharge meals - meals can be simple. The second sheet will be for volunteers that are willing to chaperone events. I will be planning two youth events in October (and more in November and December) that will not be held at the church. For these events, I would like to have one or two other adults attend.
Lastly, our mission at Recharge is to love God and love people by meeting them where they are. We also want to encourage them to embrace a lifelong, joyous relationship with Christ.
I Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
